Dr. Matt Seril earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine in San Marcos. He previously earned both a BS in Kinesiology and a MBA from California State University Long Beach. His professional experience includes a background in fitness for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses, as well as operations management and business administration.
Dr. Seril has clinical experience in a variety of physical therapy settings, including neurological
outpatient, orthopedic outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, transitional care, and clinics with an emphasis in vestibular rehabilitation and post-concussion syndrome. His patients range from those recovering from joint replacement surgeries to spinal procedures, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and impairments associated with normal aging. His approach to physical rehabilitation relies on a combination of reducing symptoms, pain management, patient education, and progressive therapeutic activities to help patients regain or improve their physical independence and overall daily function. He utilizes evidence-based treatments including pain modalities, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular reeducation.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Seril likes to spend his time away from the clinic participating in half-marathons around the country, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and traveling with his wife and family.
